Shockwave Therapy
The Foot Fixers is proud to be the only clinic providing Shockwave Therapy in the Haldimand region!
Shockwave therapy is one of the most effective treatments for heel pain conditions such as plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. It is especially helpful in treating chronic conditions which have been unresponsive to other treatments.
How Does it Work?
Shockwave therapy is a treatmetn that sends high pressure sound waves (shockwaves) into the treated tissue. The applicator is held against the skin over the injured area for approximately 4-5 minutes while the unit delivers 2000-2500 pulses of energy. Treatment can cause mild discomfort, but is tolerated well by most patients. After treatment the patient can walk out of the clinic and return to normal activity.
