Jake Cahoon D.Ch, C.Ped(C), HBK
Jake is the only medical practioner in Niagara/Haldimand who holds designations as both a Chiropodist and Pedorthist. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology Degree from Lakehead University in 2010, then went on to attain a Diploma in Pedorthics (distinction) at Western University, and an Advanced Diploma in Chiropody (distinction) from the Michener Institute.
Having a unique blend of Chiropody and Pedorthic experience, Jake has a well-rounded approach to foot care and orthotic therapy. During his studies, he was awarded the Paris Orthotics Clinical Education scholarship which is awarded to 1 graduating student for demonstrating leadership in the clinical setting including clinical excellence in Podiatric Biomechanics.
Jake has a particular interest in sports and biomechanics. He grew up as a "jack of all sports". While studying his undergrad, Jake played Jr. A hockey in Thunder Bay. He won the RBC Jr. A scholarship in 2007, based on academic achievement, hockey achievement and community involvement.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter. He also loves getting out for a skate, and golfing.
Ming Wong BSc.
Ming is the friendly voice that helps you over the phone, and is involved in all administrative tasks. Ming graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2013 with a BSc. Kinesiology and certificates in Applied Human Nutrition, as well as Health and Fitness Studies. Ming completed the Accounting for Managerial Decisions and Bookkeeping certificates in 2021 and 2020 respectively.
Ming was born and raised in Malaysia (summer all year round!) and is fluent in 5 languages; English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese and Malay. Outside of work, Ming enjoys walking, reading, writing and spending time with her husband and daughter. As a life long learner, Ming is currently pursuing the Leadership Development Series and learning to make soap.
