The Team
Jake Cahoon D.Ch, C.Ped(C), HBK
Chiropodist Jake completed his Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology at Lakehead University, then went on to complete a Diploma in Pedorthics (distinction) at Western University in 2011. As a pedorthist, Jake made contributions as a co-author for The Pedorthic Association of Canada's first edition of their Clinical Practice Guidelines. Eventually, he decided to persue further education at The Michener Institue of Education, to become a chiropodist to broaden his scope of practice as a foot specialist. During his studies he was awarded the Paris Orthotics Clinical Education scholarship, which recognizes 1 graduate per year for demonstrating leadership in the clinical setting, including clinical excellence in Podiatric Biomechanics. Jake has a particular interest in sports and biomechanics. He grew up as a "jack of all sports". While studying his undergrad, Jake played Jr. A hockey in Thunder Bay where he won the RBC Jr. A scholarship in 2007, based on academic achievement, hockey achievement and community involvement. Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also loves his recreational hockey and golf. |
