The Team
Jake Cahoon D.Ch, C.Ped(C), HBK Owner, Chiropodist Jake grew up in a small town in Northwestern Ontario where he developed a love for sports and recreation. He was a "jack of all sports" and he understands how a foot or ankle injury could keep you away from the things you love. Jake completed an Honors Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Lakehead University, then went on to complete a Diploma in Pedorthics (distinction) at Western University, then completed his studies in Chiropody at the Michener Institute with distinction. When setting up The Foot Fixers, Jake knew he wanted to provide a new service in chiropody to a rural area, as his home town was underserviced. Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He also loves his recreational hockey and golf. |
Sahil Emrith D.Ch, B.Sc Chiropodist Growing up as a lifelong sports fan and having played multiple sports throughout high school, Sahil recognized the importance of foot health. The ability to walk without pain or discomfort is something that most people take for granted. Once you lose that ability, your quality of life is diminished. Sahil made it his goal to improve his patients' quality of life by providing them with exceptional foot care. After completing his undergraduate studies and receiving his Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, Sahil attended the Michener Institute of Applied Health Sciences and received his Advanced Diploma in Chiropody. While at the Michener Institute, Sahil completed residencies in the public health sector where he worked with a high-risk population. Sahil also completed a residency in the private health sector which he ultimately fell in love with and decided to pursue after completing his post-graduate studies. |
